Group/Family Counselling

Group counselling sessions involve multiple individuals (sometimes family members) working with a trained therapist to address relationship dynamics, improve communication, and resolve conflicts. The focus is on fostering understanding, strengthening bonds, and creating healthier patterns of interaction to support the family as a whole.


Assessment

Psychological assessments involve using interviews, standardized tests, and observations to evaluate an individual's mental health, behavior, and cognitive functioning. These assessments help diagnose conditions, guide treatment planning, or address specific concerns like learning difficulties or emotional challenges.

I offer an eclectic, evidence-based approach to counselling that focuses on each person’s unique needs. My approach is client-centered, emphasizing that you are are the expert on your own life. I am also able to provide psychological assessments for adults.

Maybe you struggle with anxiety or managing your emotions or generally feel lost in life and don’t know where to start. Or perhaps you recently experienced something that you have a hard time coping with. Whether you are looking at working on a longstanding issue or something that has recently come up, I commend your efforts to step forward in making some changes. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, I am here to help you take the next steps in your journey and to reach your unique goals.

I’ll try to make your experience in therapy as safe and comfortable as possible. I provide a structured yet supportive approach to help you reach your therapeutic goals. I primarily draw from CBT, DBT, ACT and mindfulness-based interventions. I may also draw from other therapies depending on your individual needs and preferences.
